AWESOME Bagels at a reasonable price. There was a line…but it moved. Due to volume of customers, bagels that we had were fresh and melted in our mouths. There is something about NYC bagels and Ess-a-Bagel has got it right.

Ess-a-bagel often has a line out the door and with good reason! What we got:- Signature Favourite on Everything (Sliced Nova, scallion cream cheese, tomato, lettuce, onion, capers)Final Thoughts:If you’re in a rush this may not be the best place to grab a bagel, but the wait is well worth it if you have time to spare. Our bagel was delicious and loaded! Super flavourful and filling.

My two favorite bagels; morning special (egg, chedar and bacon) and nova (salmon, cream cheese and capers). I always choose everything bagel, because it tastes like garlic and crispy. I had both toasted done. It was quite delicious… but the bagel dough was like soft dough. I’ve had better ones, but it’s okay.

Came here to try the infamous NYC bagels and it was delicious. I was surprised that The Loxe was not an option on the menu so I settled for the Signature Favorite (smoked salmon, tomato, lettuce, scallion cream cheese). The bagel was very thick and filling. 2 people can easily share 1. It was delicious. However, the prices listed on the menu are inaccurate. The bagel was listed as ~$12 but came out to ~$16 before tax. In addition to this, the distribution of the salmon was uneven – some bites had a lot of salmon and others had little-to-none.

Arrived mid-morning to a line that reached to the corner of the block. The wait took an hour, it looks mostly due to the high volume of online orders on a Saturday. You have plenty of time to look at the menu. There are some indoor seating, if the weather is nice, walk around the corner to Greenacre Park. The Signature Favorite is a really filling sandwich. The bagel is perfectly toasted and the cream cheese complemented it well. The amount of the toppings was generous and I think it’s worth the cost. The food is great, but I honestly would not wait an hour for it.

Very popular Midtown East location. The line seems to get longer in midday instead of in the morning. There is the option to order online and pickup to avoid the line. There are unique shmears, but I stayed with the scallion cream cheese and nova salmon. Very good, dense and chewy bagel, though I prefer the bagels at other places.
